When you already live in an SSN student housing, you have the opportunity to apply for a change of housing unit, so-called internal relocation.
Thinking of changing house unit?
You can apply to change your house unit by submitting an application on My page and joining the waiting list.
Please briefly explain why you want to switch in the Additional Information field. This helps our housing team better understand your needs.
Please note that all financial matters related to your current accommodation must be settled before you can move.
Joining the waiting list is non-binding, and you can decline any new housing offer if it doesn’t suit you.
Applications are prioritized based on the time of submission and your reason for wanting to switch.
Unfortunately, changing house unit is not possible at the start of the semester (January and August).
Apply from My page
You apply for a change of residence on My page by submitting a new application. Let us know the reason why you would like to change, under "Additional information".
Offered a new housing option?
You’re free to say yes or no — whatever works for you!
When you accept a new housing offer
Your current housing contract will automatically be terminated when you sign the new offer, and your current room/apartment will then be offered to another student.
You will pay rent for both units for 7 days and have access to both units during this moving period.
When you decline a new housing offer
You will continue to live in your current accommodation until the end of your contract.
Your place on the waiting list will be removed, and you will need to submit a new application if you still wish to change housing.
Rent invoice during the moving period
You will receive the rent invoice for your new accommodation when you sign the contract.
If the invoice for the month you are moving has already been sent, you will receive a credit note for the unit you are moving out of.
If you have already paid the invoice for the month for which you received the credit note, you have two options:
1. Get your credit note paid back to you. Send your account number to [email protected].
2. Link the payment you have made to the new invoice you have received for the unit you are moving to. If you want this, send an e-mail to [email protected], and we will help you.
